This Privacy Policy explains how Free JSON Tools Hub (“we”, “us”, “our”), operator of https://freejsontoolshub.com (the “Website”), handles information when you visit the Website and use its tools. We aim to collect as little information as possible.

1. Summary

  • All tools process your input locally in your browser. The text, files and data you enter into a tool are not uploaded to or stored on our servers.
  • We do not require an account and we do not sell personal information.
  • Our hosting provider records standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and operation.
  • If advertising is shown, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve and measure ads. You can control this as described below.

2. Data you enter into the tools

JSON, CSV, YAML, XML, tokens, text and files that you paste, type or upload into a tool are processed by JavaScript running on your device. This data is not transmitted to us, not saved on our servers and not shared with advertisers. When you close or reload the page, the data is gone unless you saved it yourself. Even so, we recommend that you do not enter live passwords, private keys or production access tokens into any website.

3. Information collected automatically

Server logs. Like almost every website, our web server and hosting provider automatically log technical information when your browser requests a page: IP address, date and time, the page requested, referring page, browser type and operating system. These logs are used to deliver the Website, keep it secure, prevent abuse and diagnose errors. They are kept only for a limited period, as set by our hosting provider, and are not used to identify you personally.

Analytics. We do not currently use an analytics service. If we add one in the future (for example Google Analytics), we will update this policy and, where required by law, ask for your consent first.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

The tools themselves do not need cookies. Advertising partners may set cookies or use similar technologies (such as local storage or device identifiers). Details are in our Cookie Policy.

5. Advertising (Google AdSense)

We may use Google AdSense to display advertisements. In that case:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Website and/or other websites on the Internet.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and/or other sites.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info (US) or www.youronlinechoices.eu (EU).
  • If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.
  • For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, personalised ads are only shown after you give consent through the consent message displayed on the Website. You can change your choice at any time.

If you email us, we receive your email address, name (if provided) and the content of your message. We use this only to reply and to improve the Website, and keep it for as long as necessary to handle your request. We do not add you to marketing lists.

7. Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process server logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure website, emails on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering you, and advertising cookies on the basis of your consent.

8. Sharing of information

We do not sell or rent personal information. Information may be processed by service providers that help us run the Website — our hosting provider and, if ads are enabled, Google — and may be disclosed if required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of users.

9. International transfers

Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, they use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, or US state laws such as the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Because tool input never reaches us, we usually hold no personal data about you other than emails you send us. To make a request, email support@freejsontoolshub.com. We do not sell or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined in California law, other than through Google advertising cookies that you can control as described above.

11. Children’s privacy

The Website is intended for a general and professional audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or under the age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Security

The Website is served over HTTPS. Because tools run in your browser, your input is not exposed to transmission or server-side storage risks. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
